Before an earthquake, create a disaster preparedness plan.

Neighborhood Emergency Teams (NETs) are Portland residents trained by PBEM and Portland Fire & Rescue.

Staging location:

After a disaster hits, when safe, come to the parking lot by Rec Center to report your status.

Water Shutoff:

To shut off water in your building for non-emergency repairs, inform the Board, then give all building residents a 24-hour notice.

Gas Shutoff: 

See NW Natural's instructions on gas shutoff. If fire due to sparking is a concern, use a non-sparking gas shutoff tool. 
NOTE: gas can only be turned back on by NW Natural.
